Nearer to God began in September 2014 to meet a need for an up-to-date outreach devotional in Southwestern Ontario and a solidly Reformed devotional for families.

Its purpose remains to direct readers to God, edify the church, and lift up the Lord Jesus Christ, drawing people to Him for faith and salvation.

From its first 120 copies, the ministry has grown to more than 4,000 copies, reaching readers across North America, New Zealand, Australia, and other countries.

Volunteers from the Reformed community give their time and resources to maintain the devotional. Trained and experienced active and retired ministers from Reformed churches graciously contribute the meditations.
